Welcome to Iota Chi Chapter at New Mexico Highlands University.
Highlands is located in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and the campus sits on the original Santa Fe Trail. Founded in 1893 as a teachers college, Highlands has a long and rich history of having produced many elementary and high school teachers over the years. Greek social organizations have a long history on campus, too, starting with education sororities in April, 1919. Iota Chi Chapter of TKE was chartered in 1964.
Today Iota Chi faces a unique challenge to see the revitalization of Greek groups on campus. The Fraters are committed to assist in the return of the first sorority this next school year. Iota Chi is well represented on campus, with great participation in sports and student government. TKE will also revive old traditions this coming school year starting off with the Hermit’s Peak climb by freshmen during orientation week.
